Title: Request a look up for Boer war soldier. Daniel Daly/Daley
Post by: Jack TT on Thursday 03 June 21 19:23 BST (UK)
Daniel served with The Volunteers Coy, Border Regt. His number was 7185. He is down as DALY, however also spelt as DALEY.
I know he had at least 3 clasps to his QSA medal, Transvaal, Cape colony and Orange free state, was he awarded any others? also is there a service record available for him. He died young at age 26 around 1905, I have a copy of a newspaper cutting from Penrith of that era.
Not sure yet if this is a family member, trying to put the pieces together.
Thanks in advance for any assistance
