12 children with wife Clarinda Philips
2 with Elizabeth Freestone
11 born in Utah survived to adulthood and mostly had big famiies
So far i counted 76 grandchildren who survived infancy
Descendants from 7 different children of john LANGSTON
born berween 1852 -1873
show up on 28 thru lines
( is that a record ?)
Half third cousins show up at 8- 33cm levels
there are also some who have not got linked trees

A cluster of descendants in England who i suspect descend from a premarital baby
By adding "unknown baby ..not Langston) will it be possible to link dna matches to their exciting ancestor ??

Not that remarkable really. Deacon Edmund Rice of Massachusetts had 15 children by 2 wives (3 youngest daughters by 2nd wife who produced at least 15 children) from 1617/18-1661. From the 1st wife there were at least 66 grandchildren.
I am descended from 3 sons from the 1st marriage (2 of the grandchildren married (1st cousins) then one of their grandchildren married a 2nd cousin). I have quite a few matches with descendants which appear to be closer than they actually are due to intermarriage. Luckily we have a very, very large family tree researched so we can identify these matches.

I dont know if any of the descendants had cousin marriages .its the first time ive come across mormon families
My jewish great grandfather had 12 children who reachecd adulthood but they didnt have large families and most descrndants have private or unlinked trees

Apparently pioneer Brigham YOUNG who this family met on their journey to Utah was called the most married man by Mark TWAIN ...he.s reputed to have had 55 wives ...wonder how many children and how many have dna links to him .

1911 - January 14, death of Mrs. Elizabeth Jarrom, aged 100, in Workhouse; deceased left 170 descendants"

Liverpool Mercury 11 July 1845
Death Notices - July 1, aged 103, Elizabeth Jones, widow of the late Peter Jones, of Hoylake. She has left between 200 and 300 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surprisingly most are from the UK and I was born there but live in Australia. There are some in the USA. I haven't checked but I would guess it would be about 75% UK 25% USA.
