Hi,
can anyone decode this surname? it is on my grandmother and grandfather's death certificates from 1951 in Scotland.
I have tried googling everything!

Just looked some more - it could also be Benzie(s)

There are quite a few deaths on Scotlands People of Helen Benzie in the period 1950-1999, particularly in the NE of Scotland

thank you, I think that you may be onto something with the Benzie! I had forgotten about "z" in cursive!

I was taught to write the lower case z as a cursive.
I don't now though ;D

Thank you so much, after doing a bit more research it is indeed Helen Benzie! I have found her on Ancestry.com, now to find her relatives..
