Hello,
if anyone has access to Catshill parish records and could look up the following marriage, I'd be very grateful, thanks.
1866 Dec 10 Joseph Liddell and Ann Yates at Catshill
I'm interested in all the available details, fathers, witnesses etc.
thanks very much

There is a baptism on Family Search, Catshill for a Joseph Liddell 19/5/1850, which would have made him 16 years old when he married, if this was the year he was born, although he could have been born earlier, and not baptised until 1850. Parents Joseph and Hannah.
Regards.

Have you found him on the 1871 etc censuses to establish his birthyear & birthplace

I think you may need to purchase the marriage certificate below. I can see no trace on 1871/1881 census in England or any births of children in the following years mothers maiden name Yates.
Did they emigrate by any chance?

I wonder if we're looking at a much older couple than expected?

Hello Mutchall,
thank you very much for all this info and the extra links.
The marriage confirms his family line very nicely, thank you.
I had missed 'Lydia' and 'Ledhall' as being further versions of 'Liddell', so I hadn't seen the records for Daniel, thank you.
This will keep me busy for a while, thank you.
Lisa :)
