This is what I'm seeing.
The war gratuity in red will give an attestation date.
£5 for year 1 & 10s. for every month thereafter.
The "see also" may refer to his personal effects.

Just clarifying, that is what you have to search for to find the "see also 498/820373    18/19" record.

Brilliant Tonepad , Jim1 and Dundee !

Just what I needed to complete his Biography on our Roll of Honour shortly
as a former Unknown Pal killed in another Btn the 4th King's

Cheers everyone for your Time an Input

As transcription errors are rife, if you can't find it first time, try searching the specific database (use the card catalogue to find that)
then use just his date of death and service number (no name) and search

The record you wanted pops up top of the list and shows they have mangled his surname in the transcription - its also cross referenced to the later 7d record

Only a few days ago discovered by chance another former Unknown Pal who was killed in another Btn.
Along with your help he now has a Biography on the Pals Memorial Roll of Honour site..

The Two Records you all helped me find on Soldiers Effects plus his Birth Baptism Marriage Census Medal Cards and Dependents Pension Records and his Photo are now held in his File at Liverpoolpals Memorial HQ

Also a Photo of George has been added to an amended Biography on our Roll of Honour
