I am researching William Wilson Webb who died in the UK with the NZEF in 1918. I have found reference to him being commemorated in the above cemetery Area B, Row 16 with his sister Deanie. Does anyone know if photographs exist of the memorial/gravestone?

Hello.
I have relatives buried in that Cemetery, and could possibly pay it a visit, as it is not too far away. Unfortunally my diary is fully booked over the next month.
Will keep your quest in mind, and if no one else can help will attempt a visit one Sunday afternoon.

That is very kind of you and there is no rush. I have no idea what the memorial consists of. Graham

Hello again.
The Waipa District Council cemetery web page lists W W WEBB 7/12/1917 with the following plot. Block E, Row P number 277. The associated plan can be compared with the latest www aerial view, which shows a plot comprising a concrete slab and what appears to be a headstone. This cemetery is well maintained and not overgrown, so locating the plot and obtaining a photo should not be an issue. Just making the time to visit.

The photographs on the Auckland War Memorial Museum site are of the War Memorial.

And again.
With reference to the original posting and my above post. The cemetery data on the local council web page lists the same plot for BOTH Annie Geraldine (Deanie) WEBB 1897, and William Wilson WEBB 1917.
I'm assuming a memorial plaque was added to this family grave.
Not sure of your data source re Area B Row 16 for Deanie, but there is a possibly that a more detailed plot accounting system has been adopted, with the growing area now occupied by grave plots. Plot 277 being in the 16th row of that column of graves.
Alan.
PS. The local CAMBRIDGE MUSEUM notes, that in their BUCKINGHAM (1960's local historian) collection of negatives, there are members of the WEBB family, including William Wilson WEBB.

I found the location reference for the grave/memorial online so it may have been updated.
Do you have a contact at the Cambridge Museum?

Not one person in particular now, but used to keep contact in the past with the former director Erris PARKER. Her research contributions to the Museum's holdings is unsurpassed.
Always some helpful ladies there, when I call after info, or to share research findings.
