Coming back to one of my brick walls:
https://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=678357.msg5230510#msg5230510
I found an entry for George Horman arriving on the "Vestal" on 20 July 1834 in the Tasmanian Name Index but I can't work out if a copy of the actual passenger list exists
I've previously found him as George Harman, tailor, in the newspaper articles on Trove but I really need the passenger list to find out more about him, as well as Jane Harman, who was also a passenger.
Any leads gratefully received ;)

He seem to be a "Harman" but I'm not sure whether the passenger list will give you much more:
From the Reports of ships arrivals with lists of passengers: https://stors.tas.gov.au/MB2-39-1-2P055J2K

Many thanks, TreeSpirit, it's disappointing there's no further info but at least I know he was George Harman. Interesting that he was a cabin passenger and Jane Harman, who I thought might be related, eg his sister, was in Steerage.
Could you tell me how you found the image please? I found the reference in the Names Index but I couldn't see how to get to the actual passenger list.

The following film happened to have an index at the beginning: https://stors.tas.gov.au/AI/MB2-39-1-2
"Vestal" had page 93 listed, so it was just a matter of going to that page from there.

Thanks TreeSpirit, I've bookmarked it for future reference.

Not sure if you already have this from the newspaper with listing of passengers. George and Jane listed in steerage.

On the document posted by treespirit they are actually both steerage passesngers. Even though George is in the cabin column, at the top of the names you will see it says steerage. They probably just ran out of room to write in the steerage columns!

Oops, thanks Katharine75, I missed that!
