Post by: bernardhowell on Sunday 29 August 21 15:21 BST (UK)
I am trying to locate "long lost" living cousins in Toronto,Canada. Emigrated there in 1953.  Can anyone help in giving me a link to reliable source that I may search for children/descendants, or sources I can enquire in, I know most of their names and dob. Thanks in advance.

Best bet would obits in newspapers which might to point to their whereabouts.

Toronto Public Library has the newspapers available but you have to join.

Your other option is the Google Newspaper Archive which is free but time consuming.

You can also search Voters Lists and City Directories from various sources (google).

It would help you a lot if you knew what borough/ward they were in as Toronto is geographically a very large place especially if its a common surname.

Good luck

Don

Hi,

You can try the telephone directory at Canada411
https://www.canada411.ca/

These are Toronto directories up to 1969.
