Title: findmypast subscription
Post by: familyfind on Saturday 09 October 21 16:42 BST (UK)
my subscription on findmypast is due for renewal on the 21st this month. When will they tell me of the amount to pay?

Are there any discounts current at the moment?

I have auto-renew turned on.

There was a post the other day about F M P  subscriptions.     https://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=853904.0

FindMyPast generally suggest that the best discount is given to those who renew their membership

The amount you pay for the Pro sub on FindMyPast is stated as being £159.99p.

For the last four years I have paid the same amount which is less than the current Pro sub.  I shall be interested to see if it stays the same or if they increase it in view of the 1921 census becoming available next year.

At the moment there is no information regarding access to the 1921 census.  I shall have to wait and see if it is included in my sub or becomes an extra to pay for.

Automatic renewal of Pro sub (as a long-time member) is currently £135.99 - at least that is what I pay.  Equal to 37p a day.

1921 I am certain will be a separate item - as was 1939.

I agree, FindMyPast will be trying to get money in separately for that  :)

My current subscription ends tomorrow (11th October) as yet I haven't been told how much it will cost to renew so I've turned off auto renew.

I am not sure that I get renewal reminders from FindMyPast but I certainly do get an email on the day it renews to confirm what has been taken.  They have also been very good at notifying of the recent change in the type of my subscription and what charges will be due because of this.  I think they possibly only send out emails when they do a price change

I have just received an email from them to tell me they had renewed at £135.99. I was a bit surprised not to have had any notification, but, as rosie says, it seems they are not doing that any more.

I would imagine that if you have auto renew, you will be informed that the renewal has been done.  If you don't have auto renew then FindMyPast will probably send you an email telling you that your sub is due to expire.  If you wish to continue membership please renew before expiry date.

Auto renew means you get the loyalty discount which is what I have had for the last four years.
