I am looking for my Priestley relations, cousins, from Birmingham. They are children of John Priestley, Thomas Priestley. I am grand daughter of Joseph, daughter of Joseph Thomas Priestley. I have some family records and would like to know particulary about my dad's cousin Susan, who I went to school with.
My interest is also in Crystal, which my grandfather taught me about, they worked at John Walsh Walsh.
I moved to Stourbridge, where they also lived and worked, and would love to share details I have with any family.

Hi Marilyn
I'm afraid we aren't allowed to discuss living persons here so if any of the names you mention are, or could be, still alive you should remove their names to protect their privacy.

Joseph Yates Priestley died in 1939 and is buried in Handsworth Cemetery, Birmingham.
Find a will says administration to his wife Esther Louisa Priestley.
Did Joseph marry more than once? I can find a marriage:-
Marriages Mar 1923
Lee Esther L Priestley W.Bromwich 6b 1161
Priestley Joseph Y Lee W.Bromwich 6b 1161
There does not appear to be any children from that marriage.
According to his age when he died he would have been born around 1868.
Ah I have found an earlier marriage:-
Marriages Sep 1889
Challener Mary Birmingham 6d 66
Priestley Joseph Yates Birmingham 6d 66
At the moment he seems to be elusive in census records. Will see what I can find.

With wife Rebecca and five children.
I've put the wrong lady down for that 1889 marriage I posted earlier. It should be Rebecca Pimm. I think I looked earlier on FindMyPast and they had it down as Mary.
