Title: Lady of Pittadro
Post by: Meggiejayne on Thursday 21 October 21 17:23 BST (UK)
Hello

I am doing some research into my husbands ancestors and we have come across a very interesting discovery in the fact that the granddaughter of one of his ancestors was tried as a witch in the Scottish Witch Trials of 1649- 1650.

She was know as the Lady 0f Pittadro and there is quite a bit of information concerning her. However what Im asking is does anyone have access to the Dunfermline Carneige Library and Galleries?

It would seem that there is an article in the Dunfermline Journal dated 1902-08-02 reference 9577.

I cant seem to access this article online...does anyone know where I could or even if it is possible.

Is there anyone so kind that could access it in person?

Any help is gratefully appreciated.

Thank you.

The article is supposed to be on page 5, but I cannot find it. Some of the print cannot be read due to copying problems.
