Girl guide.. I thought that was my Annie Jenkins to but it’s not, ive had someone confirm this for me on ancestry
-
Did the ancestry 'link' give the details from the marriage you say is wrong - who was the father of that Annie Jenkins so that we can eliminate it
-
Ive had 2 diff ppl now telling me they both have an Annie Jenkins Married to a William v Thomas, one had a daughter called daisy, the other couple had a son called David… which one is right? If I had an ancestry DNA test would it literally do my tree for me?

If I had an ancestry DNA test would it literally do my tree for me?
No it would not.
Ancestry trees are not reliable, do those people that you mention have a copy of that marriage certificate
-
They have the birth and death certificates. Why is ancestry dna not reliable?

Why is ancestry dna not reliable?
I said Ancestry trees are not reliable. They are very often just copied from other trees and there is no evidence as to the source of the information on any of them. It is always advisable to view the original source of all information where possible.

Just as an example there is a tree that has Ann Jane Jenkins born 1912 Rhydlewis, Cardiganshire married to William Verdun Thomas, they have a daughter Daisy. There are no images or transcripts to back up the information.
The tree states that Ann Jane's parents were David Jenkins and Mary Ann Davies. I cannot see a birth registration on the GRO index around 1912 for an Ann(ie) Jane Jenkins showing mothers maiden surname Davies.
