Am new to RootsChat.
I'm looking for details on an ancestor - Joseph Bright #6609 Royal Irish Fusiliers.
-
Find My Past are offering free access to Military Records at the moment. There are several military records for a Joseph Bright (born 1899, Dublin) on FindMyPast.
Are you looking for your ancestor's military details? Or details, in general, about him?

There is a record for this soldier on Find My Past, he enlisted in Dublin in 1899 aged 18 years and 3 months.
Not listed under Boer War records though - he also served in WW1. You should be able to view them. I understand Find My Past are giving free access to Military records at the moment - I can't swear to that, but thought I had read it somewhere.
You have his number and his Regiment correct.

He was discharged from the Army on 5th April 1919.

Thanks all.
I have details regarding WW1.
All I have for Boer War is that he was in South Africa in 1901/1902.
