Post by: louisa maud on Saturday 13 November 21 01:15 GMT (UK)
I am interested in finding details of patients in Petworth Cottage Hospital circa 1919, Sussex, I have a photo of my grandfather in the grounds and I am trying to find out if he was a patient there

Thank you in anticipation

Contact the West Sussex Record Office. They hold some local hospital records (see 2nd link below).
Patient records are subject to restricted access for 100 years. Researchers are advised to contact the Record Office before they visit to ensure that material is available for consultation.

Thank you Hillhurst, it is over 100 years so I might be lucky

Feels like a holiday in Sussex coming on, have been there before if it is the one in Chichester

Blast from the past  I had my tonsils removed them in the late 1950's!
