Title: Script in a 1660 Record
Post by: Llanfihangel on Sunday 14 November 21 04:14 GMT (UK)
Hi!

I am perusing a 1660 will of a Thomas Games of Brecon. This was recorded in the Prerogerative Court of Canterbury.

There are a couple of words I don't understand. They are of places in Breconshire. However, the "Slough" word doesn't ring a bell. It might be "Slwch" as it is close to Brecon.
The other place may be "Crai", but again I am not sure...

Please see the attachment

All assistance will be gratefully received!!

Hi,
After some research I am satisfied that "Slough" is Slwch (near Brecon) That's because other records identified it as such. The other place is Cui near Pencelli. not Cray.

So I am thanking all of you who viewed by topic, and wish you well!

Thanks
