Hi,
hoping someone can give me some guidance on this one please.
I want to find the whereabouts of the grave for Ian Fraser H Low. I know very little, other than his death record on FindMyPast says he died in 1978 aged 65 in Bromley district. Is there any easy way of finding out where he might be buried? He was ex-RAF so maybe that might be an avenue for me to go?
Thanks
Steve

He married in Scotland in 1942 so it's possible there were children born to the marriage who are still alive.
His wife - Margaret Dunn Low nee Tawse died 20.1.2005 Northamptonshire & also left a will
Downloading a copy of his will may yield some info - he may have given instructions for his burial/cremation. Cost is £1.50

Looking at births from 1942 in Greenock - it's possible 2 of his sons married in Greenock 1971 & 1978 but no guarantees
What is your connection to him?

Thank you Rosie and Carole, some good pointers there.
No connection at all actually! The father of a friend of mine was an RAF test pilot and he died in a plane crash a few months before she was born. Because of this she's always interested in RAF 'stories'. He family have holidayed near Orford in Sussex a few times recently and it turns out the cottage they stay in was once owned/occupied by Mr Low. He was RAF during the war and the village of Orford was force evacuated to be taken over for military use. From this she's become a bit obsessed with where he came from, why he was there and where he went. As I say, I think it's the RAF angle that interests her.

He doesn't appear to have "emigrated" to England from Scotland until possibly after the 1950's looking at some of the children birth possibilities.

Hmm, maybe he only visited during the war and liked it so much he came back later?
