Just to state the obvious: British Army, late 1930's or 1940's, a Scottish regiment.

Good evening,
1940s economy pattern battledress. The pleated front to the blouse exposing the buttons and pleats on all pockets has been done away with. They returned after the war ended along with a more tailored look to make it smarter.
