Thomas Edwards born in Abdon a parish adjacent to Clee St Margaret, born in 1815 baptised 24/04/1815 at St Margarets Clee St Margaret is my Great Great Grandfather he married in January 1839 registered in Ludlow but may have taken place in Clee St Margaret a Mary Price ? I query it because I cannot find her and confirm it, I have the 1841 / 1851 / 1861 / 1871 / 1881 / census records showing the family living at Hillside and Cockshutford then in 1891 Thomas is a widow which coincides with Mary's death on 17/03/1886 this is confirmed by the family gravestone which includes Thomas who dies in Nov 1903 and son Richard who dies Aug 1876, all records show that both Thomas and Mary are from Clee St Margaret, and yet I have currently failed to find her and her family, which leads me to suspect she may not be Mary Price, there is a Mary Sargeant who also gets married and is registered in Ludlow in Feb 1839 her father is a Burton which suggests she could have been married before and may explain the fact that she is 3 years older than thomas, struggling to find evidence to confirm either Mary Price or Mary Burton living in Clee St Margaret, and suggestions please..

Its that name Sarjeant again so it is becoming to much of a coincidence, Mary was a farmers daughter according to some notes we have and she was 3 years older than Thomas and lived and was born on the Clee, his father was George and his mother Mary Reynolds, the family were buried in an Anglican Churchyard my Great Grandfather John was the eldest and first to leave the family farm and ended up in Sedgley, which all looks right and explains why Mary Price continues to elude me.. where did you find the marriage cert please I feel as though I have crawled all over the Brown Clee, Clee St Margaret and Tittensor Clee, many thanks

Added Father Edward Burton is listed as a Farmer and a witness was Elizabeth Serjeant

Hi.
Ancestry has Shropshire marriages but not the images

Just to say that I have ancestry from Clee and surrounds - the Preece family although earlier than your Mary. But significantly Preece is often Priest or Price in the records, so she could have been baptised as either of these.
