Hi there, My Grandad was the David Cormack in your family tree (Watchmaker 1899 - 1967). He married Tassie Cormack (cant recall what date) and had my dad David Liddle Cormack on June 30th 1931. My dad went on to marry Margaret Bain Wilson and had my brother David, sister Evelyn and other brother Andrew then myself bringing up the rear (Fiona). If you are who I think you may be then my sister looked after you for a wee while in Switzerland.
We have all (Except Andrew) married and have families of our own now.
Unfortunately my dad passed away recently. If there is any more info you need then e-mail and I will try and find out/answer as best possible
Regards

Hi there!

I am Jean Evelyn Inness

My mother's maiden name is Evelyn Cormack Miller, and your father was my Uncle Cormack.

Roy Miller Clunie married Elizabeth Templeton ( LIz) and they have three children:

Alison, Gregor and David.

Patricia Cormack Clunie married Barry Kedslie and had two children:

Charlotte Clunie Kedslie
Gordon Kedslie

The release of the 1911 Census has renewed my interest in family history research and I must have a look at who was living at 1 Sinclair Terrace and in other parts of Wick!

Happy hunting,

Jean

Hi Catherine, I don't think that we are the same Millers. My family were builders and resident at "Woodbine" in Wick.

Thanks, Jean

Hi there!

Are you Jean, Heather or David?

I am Jean Evelyn, eldest of Evelyn Clunie's ( Miller) three children.

I have recently done a lot of work on the Cormack and Miller family trees via Ancestry.com and found that I can get back to about 1800 on the Cormack side and other branches. Not had a great lot of luck with tracing the Millers in Leith, though I know that they did originate from there.

My direct email addresses are:
 jean.inness@south-ayrshire.gov.uk

jean.inness@yahoo.co.uk

Keep in touch, give my love to Margo!

Jean

Hello, Yes, how can I help?

How much do you know?

Did your grandfather tell you anything about Wick and the Millers there?

Jean

I am the great-grandson of Frank Cormack who "went to USA". He married Dora Waters, had two children, then moved to Colorado, USA and had six more including the youngest, my grandmother. I was in Wick last August and did a bit of research, but mainly on the McIntosh and Cormack branches.

I also have a Donald Miller in the tree (d. 1927?), who married Christina Waters (1863-1912, sister to Dora who married Frank Cormack). So there might be a connection via Waters as well as Cormack.

Interesting the Frank Cormack "that went to USA" was also a watchmaker and jeweler. Before they moved to Colorado about 1891, they had a two children in Scotland.
