Just about to make the same comment - 1901 shows her b Essex
-
She’s living in the place mentioned by carolmc :-\
There is this death in Croydon. Alfred Turley married there in June quarter 1906
Louisa Ann Tyrrell, 49 yrs died March 1906.
I haven’t checked Louisa Tyrrell though but it’s the best I can see. :)
-
Think the 1906 death is the 1901 entry - wife of Sidney H Tyrrell - living in Croydon
-
Carol - you haven't really given much info to enable people to help you
"possibly died" - what evidence do you have to support that?
Was Turley her married name?
If so - Who & when did she marry & what was her maiden name?
Where is she in 1901 - full details please?
-
Thanks Carole. I didn’t check. ::)
I don’t see a marriage for Alfred and Louisa although he is described as a widower on his 1906 marriage.
Perhaps carolmc has more information.
-
Perhaps this marriage - 1883
Alfred William Turley and ‘Louie’ Harnwell are on the same page
I realise I am assuming this is the right Louisa ::)
-
Have requested more details in reply 8. 1891 she is also shown as b West Ham Essex
The 1891 entry has a "step sister" Agnes Harnwell aged 11 b Essex

Agnes Mary Harnwell b 1879 mmn Cromar

Is anyone familiar with Elgin records and can check records for this Mrs Turley? The Goodwood and coachman references suggest a possibly connection.

Hi everyone especially Cuffie, incrediable! thank you for all the replies and the amazing result. I was aware that my info was vague and as usual how great rootschat is with brickwalls. I've had a quick look at the Elgin records which I didn't know about! Regards carolmc. Topic closed
