Title: RCAF 2 fighter wing Grostenquin France 1953 Johnson family
Post by: jim234j on Wednesday 05 January 22 17:54 GMT (UK)
I would appreciate if anyone could make this photo a bit clearer.
It is me with my brother and sister in front of our trailer we lived in for over a year
on the new Canadian air force base.  It had no power and no indoor plumbing.  We were
among the first families to live there.
We eventually were moved when the married quarters were completed but until then we had
to go to the barracks for showers and my mother had to wash clothes in the barracks.
I cant imagine how my mother coped.  I am the scrawny one on the left.
The trailers were called the Governor General and were brought to Grostenquin from the UK

Here's my attempt (though there's not a lot there to enhance - it needs to be higher resolution for a better result)

The results would be much clearer Jim if you could have it scanned rather than a photograph.
