I would like some help with tracing the identity and family of the mother of Pearl Mary Stubbs. Pearl was born Q2 1927, District: Runcorn Cheshire, MMN: Jones. Vol 8A page 344. Pearl eventually married a William Edwin Nixon in 1946 District Northwich Vol 8A page 844.
Pearl’s father was Arthur Stubbs born 14 June 1896 at Crowton, Cheshire. The only marriage for Arthur have been able to find which seems to fit was in Q3 1926 Runcorn District Vol 8A page 613 to a Doris Mary JONES.
I think I can see them in the 1939 register- E.G.R.P. Rural District: Runcorn 446/2 living in Dunsdale Gardens (Frodsham) - Arthur, Doris M and Pearl M Stubbs. Arthur is a gardener. Their dates of birth don’t match exactly but I think it’s them.
1911 census:-
• Arthur is with father Edward on 1911 census, at Common side, Kingsley. Edward is a planter on government forest ground, Arthur is a cow boy. I cannot see a Doris Mary JONES anywhere in the area local to Kingsley in 1911.
• I would expect to find her within her family unit but can’t. I saw a marriage on Familysearch.org of an Arthur Stubbs to Doris Mary Jones on 4 August 1926 in Frodsham, Cheshire. This Doris’s father’s name was George Jones. This fits with the registration at Runcorn in Q3 1926.
However, I’ve not been able to find out anything else with this information. Can anyone help me find where Doris was in 1911 and some information about her family please?

There is one in Wales age 5 but her father is down as John not George :-\
Have you an occupation for her father from the marriage?

The 1939 register states Doris Mary Jones' date of birth as 5 May 1906. The England & Wales Births 1837-2006 gives it as Q2 1927.
The marriage on Familysearch.org doesn't give her father's occupation.

Underneath the entry for Doris Mary's marriage, there is another entry that may be her: (I can't copy/paste it unfortunately):
Doris Mary Jones Female Age 11 1911 census,
Event - Cheadle, Cheshire. Sub District Cheadle, number 8, enumeration 12, Reg District Stockport, district 443. Birth year 1900, birthplace Longsight, Cheshire. Occupation: school, relationship to head of household: inmate.
Doc type - 29 page 8, source page type 9, piece/folio 30, registration number RG14, schedule type 9999
Institution - Warehouseman and Clerks Orphan School.

She could have been born anywhere, have you tried locating her in 1921 when she is more likely to be living in the area she married.

Doris Mary Jones is a servant, a housemaid.
Head is Thomas Kemp, born 1868. His wife is Mary Evelyn Kemp, born 1878.
Might be the Thomas Kemp at Cogshall Hall (directory)

I have managed to speak to a member of the Pearl's family and now have some information about her family. In case other family members read this post below is what I have learned.
Pearl's mother was Doris Mary Jones and she was born in Montgomeryshire, Berriew, I think. Birth registered Forden Vol 11b Page 157. Her parents were George and Ellen Jones, who married Q2 1905, Forden Vol 11b Page 313. Ellen's mmn was Beedles, b.1878 Berriew and her parents (Cornelius and Jane) lived in Berriew. George Jones was born in Kerry, Montgomeryshire in 1882. His parents were John and Ann Jones.
By 1911 George, Ellen and Doris had moved to Carlton Market Bosworth, Nuneaton. a
By 1921 George and Ellen are in Aston by Budworth, Bucklow Reg District and Doris is in service at Cogshall, Northwich.
Doris marries Arthur Stubbs in 1926 and Pearl is born in 1927. They are all living in Dunsdale Gardens, Frodsham in 1939.
George and Ellen are living in Oakmere, near Delamere in 1939. Apparently Pearl sometimes lived with them during WW2, presumably it was safer for her than living in Frodsham.
I'm now satisfied that I can add these family members to the tree.
