Hi All,
I am new to your county! - have just found my first person born in Lincolnshire on my tree - and now I can't find the town!!
Emma Windwood in the 1901 census says she was born in Dusking, Lincolnshire - but as her husband was born in Hertfordshire and her residence was in Sussex this might have been wrong!
Anyone think they know what it might be?
Cheers
Keith

Hi Geoff,
Many thanks for that information - wonder why Ancestry put it down as Dusking?
Didn't get as far as the 1881 census - thought I had better get her birth sorted out first - yes I had the marriage thanks - thats really where I started from with Emma Jane Wright.
I never know how far back I go with wife's parents - but will at least it makes a start now.
Cheers

Hi Geoff,
Bet you threw that "Frieston" in just to see if I was watching!! ;D
Had a look around the Genuki site for Lincolnshire - you wouldn't happen to know about Geoff Bradleys site? I alway like to have photos etc of the area the people in my tree lived - although Emma and her family are not relatives I still like details.
Cheers

Hello,
I am a newbie to RootsChat, so please bear with me. I am wondering how I can get in contact with the original poster (Keith Bateman), or anyone who might be interested in the Wright Family in Friskney as I come from that line. I appreciate that this is long shot as the post was made in 2005.
Many thanks
Paul

There is the township (village in 19th century) of Ruskington, around 6 miles north of Sleaford, if the Dusking thing is still relevant.

Welcome to Rootschat Paul,
Unfortunately Keith has not been active on Rootschat since 2009 and his email address is not working. If you click on his name you will be able to see that information.
It might be worth your while to start a new post asking for anyone with links to your family or maybe put it in the Surname Interests section which is down at the bottom of the Forum page.

Thank you sillgen. I will see what there is in the Surname Interest.
Regards,
Paul
