Michael Harrison married Mary Potts on 20th April 1731 in Houghton le Spring. They are both listed as 'of this parish'.
Are there any records of a baptism for Michael?
Many thanks in advance.

Where have you looked?
A search of the holdings of Parish Registers for Houghton-le-Spring in Durham Record Office shows they have baptisms from Jun 1581.
The Record Office is currently closed till later this year while they move to new premises but after that they should be able to provide a copy if you have a year of birth (and, indeed IF he was baptised there, 'of this parish' doesn't always mean he was born there)
Family Search have the following:
https://www.familysearch.org/search/catalog/455418?availability=Family%20History%20Library
This time frame not indexed so you'd need to trawl through and you'd need to visit a Family History Centre to look through the images - note they say that, unsurprisingly, given the age of these records some are illegible

At Durham Records Online the earliest Harrison baptism at Houghton-le-Spring is dated 1581.
Before the marriage to Mary Potts in 1731 there are just two Michael Harrison baptisms, in 1727 and in 1639 (Herryson).

Thank you for your responses, I really appreciate you taking the time to look for me.
Will have a look through to see what I can find, but think he may be one for the back burner for a while!
