Title: Christian name Eamonn
Post by: castlebob on Tuesday 18 April 23 10:18 BST (UK)
I gather that one of the 15th C Maguire chieftains was called Eamonn. Can anyone tell me if that Christian name is still popular with Maguires, and generally popular in Co Fermanagh, please?
Cheers,
Bob

Eamon is the Irish for Edward. In the 1911 census of Fermanagh there were 1830 people named Maguire and 30 named Edward Maguire.
