Hi everyone
I've a new connection to my family in Mitchelstown. I was never able to track down my great grand aunt Bridget McGrath but I visited the family plot for the first time on Friday 29th Sep 23 and found her name on a stone attached to the side along with Doreen Hayes & Jimmy Hayes and her husband, their son, James Hayes.
Does anyone know about the Hayes in Mitchelstown?
Thanks
Paul

This could be Bridget’s death. The informant is Philomena Hayes, so you would have to find her.

This is definitely her! He obviously retired as an RIC man and moved back to his wife's home. Her brother was a publican and grocer in Mitchelstown so they'd have settled in quickly.
