Charles - 1886 parents Charles McCurley and Sarah O’Kane. Dumbarton, St Patrick’s.
The age wouldn’t fit though.

It could be the one in 1901, don't children get listed by age.
Could have been mistranscribed.
I can't find an original to check.

:)
Yes, Scotlands People has him transcribed as 14 yrs.

Good, what about Charles the father, he can't be 30.
Is he a widower.

There are deaths - Scotlands People - Dumbarton
1889 Sarah McCurley 32 yrs mother’s name McSporran
1897 Sarah McCurley 12 yrs mother’s name O’Kane
Her birth is on irishgenealogy site.
As for James McCurley, if it is him in 1911, I can’t see any marriage/death record but you would need to look here for later records https://www.nidirect.gov.uk/articles/search-gronis-online-records

Good find.
That looks good - worth checking.
-
There's a few McCurley names there though.
I suppose trying to match the plot number could help.
I don't have time now.

I posted details of the census in reply #1 where, as you pointed out, James is a bricklayer.
I wondered if anyone has found a marriage for the James whose death and burial has been found so that the father’s name could be ascertained.
There may be more than one possibility for James McCurley. I posted a record for McCurry in case there were misspellings too. I think that record is not relevant though.
