Apologies for bumping up a very old thread but I recently have had quite a bit of info on James Neavecey/Neavesey/Neavcey etc. of Bungay. The OP has not been active on this board for some years but if anyone else is looking for details, I can help.
To say that James Neavecey had a life of (petty) crime would be an understatement. In his twenties he had already been transported for 7 years and jailed for 4 more but it really didn't get any better for him. He went on to spend time in Dartmoor, prison hulks, Norwich castle, Pentonville and Millbank for crimes no more severe than stealing chickens, tea and clothing.
A daughter of his, Frances Spurgeon, born before his marriage, ends up in her 20s living and having a family with an ancestor of mine in his 60s in Lowestoft while his wife, also my line, moves out to another address.
