Hi Liz

I seem to be first in.

I am looking for a marriage between 1936 and 1970 for Harold Geroge Squibb married to a Florence Hunt (this would be Florence's second marriage as first husband died in Canada.  She was born 1899 Sandhurst, Berks as Florence Netherclift though sometimes she could be Draycott due the ancestors not marrying and the sibling used both surnames.  She is British and went to Canada about 1916 to 1917 as cannot find her first marriage to Edward Hunt in this country as first child Harold was born about 1917 in Canada.  Florence came back to UK in 1936 with her children and remarried the Squibb.  They both died in South Africa in 1973 onwards so the 1970 was just an outside marker, I would probably expect somewhere up to mid 1960's.  Any help appreciated but the marriage is the main think.  Much appreciated and if I can help with census lookup for Durham or Staffordshire just yell.  Will send you a PM with my email address when you contact me.

Thanks

John Rowley

Sorry to bother you again. Could you also try for the death of Elizabeth Ibbotson 1897-1901  Wortley-west riding of yorkshire, she would have been about 54/58.

Regards
David

Hi David,

In case Liz doesn't have any credits left... Have you seen the death coverage charts at FreeBMD for the years you mention? http://freebmd.rootsweb.com/progressD.shtml
They seem 100% indexed. The few quarters that are not completely indexed in the following years can be viewed for free using the 'view images' function.
Hope this  helps.

Tanja  :)

Hi Tanja

Many thanks for that. Have tried and found Elizabeth.

Liz if you read this, don't bother about Elizabeth.

David

Good Morning Liz  ;D

If you still have some credits left I am trying to find the marriage of Harry Lord and Annie "B" (surname not known but referred to in the family as B - although it could have been a polite way of saying "a female dog" as she wasn't liked in the family!  :o )

The marriage would have taken place in Halifax, West Yorkshire somewhere between 1940 and 24.4.1951 (date of Harry's death).  Harry was born in 1874.

Many thanks
Jan

Liz, you are an angel.

I'm looking for confirmation of a birth (and a vol & pagereference):

Harry Mount  b 09 July 1873 Totton, Hampshire.

He's not on Ancestry.co.uk or FreeBMD

Any help would be much appreciated.

OK. I have officially decided that I hate 1837online. I think it is such a waste of time :(
1000xlch, I searched from what you gave me and it gave tons of results, seems that it just gives you pages and its potluck if the page actually has even one name that you typed in  >:( Anyhow. I looked at the free bdm and took a punt on one Harold G Married in 1966, thinking it would tell me more than the FREEbdm (like the wifes name), seems not. So yeah I don't think I can help you.  :'(

ibbotson, I viewed each of the Woo.... records for 1936 I did find a few Woolfson, but not the one you wanted.. Then I started to wonder if you ment the last name was Semour de Woolfson. So if that is what it is get back to me before my credits die, and I will re search that. Also if you just want the woolfson sheets I have them ready to email. (ok just before I am about to post I see you siggy line... It looks like I am wrong lol So I am looking for DE Woolfson, is that correct?)

Jan_down_south, sorry, but your search is similar to 1000xlch, it just brings up all these results, it doesn't even try to match them at all :( I really hate this 'tool' Meh

joe, again yours is like Jan_down_under and 1000xlch. I have I mentioned my dislike for this service? It doesn't even have an available option to search the wife and husband together. Bah

philipsearching, I searched Harry Mount  b (date doesn't matter to this site) July/Aug/Sept 1873 Totton, Hampshire. None there I am afraid, I even looked for Harold. I have the copy of the page if you want it, I did notice a Harry MountAIN, born in that 3 month period at Wakefield. I am Australian so I have no idea if that is even near lol. I am going to have a look at all of the 1/4's so if that turns up anything I will let you know.

A frustrated Liz
Btw About 10 Credits left

I hate 1837 too ;D
If you have any credit left, could you let me have the detail for Francis Kemp, aged 18, living in Camberwell in the 1861 census? Many thanks

Not too sure what 1837 online gives you Liz, but:
Octavius John Breden m Ann Maria Williams 29 July 1836 St Dunstan in the West London.
Does this give any address or parents names etc.
Thank you if it is not too late to take advantage of your offer.

:( 1837online only holds the complete GRO indexes, which just give the reference allowing you to order the certificate.

Tanja  :)

PS. From 1837 onwards only.

Hallo, Liz

Many thanks for looking for Harry Mount.  It's probably a case of family memories being myth rather than truth!

All the best
Philip

Thats brilliant Liz-thankyou. Just a few doors away from the rellies. William must have been the first to go up the social scale to become a dustman ;D All the others were street hawkers then, but by the next census they were following in his footsteps. It will be interesting to know who else was in the household. I only discovered him the other day and haven't received the birth certificate to find out which Kemps were his parents. Many thanks for this

Hi there from Sunny Australia!

If you have any credits left, please would you see if you can find who Florence Banks  married?

She is supposed to have married on 1st August, 1904 in Worcester.

Thank you,
narelle.

If you still are able to do this, I would appreciate a lookup on the 1861 census, which I think is the only one they have at 1837online:

James and/or Sarah BRAKE, husband and wife.  They could be living in Nailsea (Somerset) area, Bristol, or London.  They would both have likely been in their 50s or older, and certainly no younger than 45.  He is listed elsewhere as being a "watchman" at that time.  Children living at home might include Sarah (b.approx 1831), Emma (b.1827 or earlier), and Mary Ann (b.1822 or earlier).
The children could also be living on their own or married (except for Sarah, who is unmarried at this time)- I know little about them at this time.

Thanks in advance!
