I just found out that maybe MARIA SELBY b abt 1891 june qtr may of married FREDERICK H STANTON . Maria 's mother was ELIZABETH SELBY (NEE HAMMOND) b abt 1858 loughborough and her father was BENJAMIN SELBY b abt 1858 loughborough and died the 8 jan, 1898. does anyone recognize these names??

I am trying to locate Frederick h Stanton who married Edna may roach in 1943. I believe Frederick Henry Stanton who married Maria selby were his parents. Frederick and Edna would have been my grandparents. Do you have any other information?

Hi I have been trying to find his death record and looked at 1963 but wasn't sure it was him? I was led to believe he had died around the time my dad was born in 1949 but I cannot find a death near that time so I presume this is him.

There are 4 Stanton/Roach births in Loughborough, the last in 1953 (according to free bmd) - does this fit with what you know of the family?

Hi yes. One is my dad. He was adopted. Not sure if the 2 girls were also adopted we are waiting to get his adoption records to see if that helps. Edna remarried a William Lloyd and we believe John Stanton became John Lloyd.

I do not know what sensitive information has been sent to you, but there seems to be a possible marriage to the daughter born in 1944, and possibly the two of them still living in Luzborough on the current ER.

My dad at this stage is just trying to find where his dad is buried. I think in time he would like to find siblings so any info now is helpful. Is Patricia the one you have found possible marriage details for? I am very new to this so am unsure if I am on the right track. We did find Edna's grave last week and now dad is the next on the list. Thank you all so much for your help. Very appreciated

I have found 2 children for Frederick H and Maria - Fredeick H Stanton birth reg 1915 and Christopher Stanton birth reg 1913 - sadly it seems Christopher Stanton died 1916 death reg Dec qtr 1916 age 3 Loughborough 7a 143
Frederick H Stanton (who married Maria Selby) was b 1885 in Irthlingborough Northampton and died 1930 in Loughborough
Frederick's father worked for the Railway and that would be the reason they moved around.

I found out today that Frederick (senior) is buried at Loughborough cemetery. He is buried on his own. Did Maria remarry? Going to request the death certificate for Frederick who died in 1963 and hope there is some information on it that will confirm it is my dad's dad.

Just found out that although Frederick henry stanton was registered as my dad's father he wasn't. His father was George forrester I presume from loughborough area however that is all the information I have at this time. The Frederick stanton that was married to Edna was the one that died in 1963. Any help would be appreciated although I know it's a long shot!!
