I think due to circumstances he may have been with Grandparents
My other sister was also living with them from 1941 till after the war
unfortunately there is no one I can ask
My brother passed away in Australia 40 years ago
Thank you all again so nice to be back on Roots chat

Hi Thank you Lola
This was my thoughts as well
Troyon was the place of the battle in France near Laon
I also think the same as you but where
I have messaged on Forum that deals with KRRC ww1 but as yet nothing
There is a CWGC near there but no name of Hunt buried
Was the red cross field hospital attending wounded during this time ??

Thank you Carole
I am trying to get my head around it  that there was no body to bury I suppose
Of all the men that died that day what would they have done with the bodies if there were any
I thought he may have been wounded treated and then died
Thank you again

Could anyone advise me please
My Grandfather Samuel Henry Hunt DoB 1887
Died in WW1 14/9/1914
He died of his wounds
My question is would he have been injured and found and buried with his comrades
or would there have been nothing to bury
He has a memorial but cannot find a grave  searched CWGC only memorial
any advise greatly received
The thought there was a body and he was treated is bugging me

« on: Tuesday 28 December 21 16:02 GMT (UK)  »
Could someone kindly assist me please I have an Old PC that is 5 years old and still useable,
I also have a new one 6 months old which I have my 2019 family tree on
The older one has My family tree version 2011
The question is how do I transfer 2019 data to 2011 please
I have tried  exporting and backing up via a USB and Disc but failing miserably any advice greatly appreciated,  I like the old one as I only have the Family tree on it also its a good back up if this new one goes down

Kind Regards
