This Abram and family went to near Brockville, Ontario.    If you Google him or check various genealogy sites there is actually quite a bit of record for him if you are interested.  Irv

Looking for lineage for Ninian Holmes (wife mary erwin) b.1715, d.1772 Ballyreagh, Ballywillin.  Son Abram b.1740 ( wife Sarah O'neal) went to New York state and eventually Canada.  Othe rsons of Ninian: Ninian, william, Benjamin, Thomas, daught. Mary

or for John Holmes ( cousin or relation to above) b.1732, left Coleraine to US, NY then Virginia in 1757, lived and died in Loudoun Co. VA. d.1777.  Carried letter of recommend from Rev. Robert Higinbotham of Coleraine Presbytery.

or Nathaniel Holmes b.1690 ( wife Janet Hunter), sons Nathaniel, Jonathan, John, William, Andrew, Abraham, daugh Janet, Ann.  All to Londonderry, NH, USA then to Carlisle, PA, USA.
