Thank you, aghadowey,
Can't seem to find an 1871 or 1881 Irish census to look at?  Were they destroyed in some way?

Would have been good to find a birth place for Alexander, as we would then know where to look for his family, either in Ireland or Scotland - but the documents don't include place of birth, it seems.  At least we know his father's name was also Alexander!

Many thanks for your help,
Frosty

Thank you for your prompt reply, Maiden Stone - tried all of the above, but now see that Kiltaglassen has found who I am looking for, amazingly!

Fermanagh / Alexander Graham married in Fermanagh around 1870
« on: Monday 30 August 21 15:38 BST (UK)  »
Hello, am looking for any information on Alexander Graham, who married a woman called Isabella Betty (no surname) in Fermanagh.  I don't know his date of birth, but he and Isabella had a daughter called Isabella born in Enniskillen in 1874.  I have the family after this, but can't seem to find anything on Alexander or his wife's family before this.  It is thought by his granddaughter that Alexander may have been born in Scotland.
If anyone can find, or direct me to further information on his family, I would be very grateful.
Many thanks,
Frosty

Hi Gill!
Don't know exactly when you posted this, but have not used this site for several years now - great to hear from you though!
My mum in law Jean & husband Les Hunkin are still living in Meva - they have four children (the last adopted, after they fostered her as a baby) - they spent years fostering, and they still foster a 'son' with Downs syndrome aged 28! They love camper vanning around Europe when they can (Jean has the Penfold traveler in her blood)! I'm sure she'll be happy to hear about you!
Best regards

Hi David - that's interesting! don't know what year you posted this, but thanks for your reply. I also have a pic of him with schoolchildren, so may be the same - but if you would post it here, would be great, thank you!
