Thanks you! But since I posted this I eventually found out that she died in Edinburgh. It's funny how you can search for someone for ages with no success. Then you take a break, and then do another search and find who you are looking for straight away!
Maggie would have been my great aunt, and died in Blackhall, Cramond, Edinburgh on 8th March 1910 of mitral stenosis.

Sorry I should have given his age at date of death - he was 54 as I purchased  the death certificate and that was how I found out about Jean.
I wish the English certificates were like the Scottish ones - ours give much more information!

Do you know how old Frederick was when he died?  An approximate age would help narrow down the search for Jean.

I am trying to trace my second cousin Jean Atkin. Her father was Frederick Inkerman Atkin who was born in Coul, Aberdeen. He died on 10th January 1956 at 115 Bayford Road Littlehampton, West Sussex, and his daughter Jean was the informant. She lived at the same address.
I'm afraid I have no idea who her mother was, or where she was born. However I did do a search on Scotland's People and I couldn't find a birth for her in Scotland, so she was possibly born in England.
Any help would be much appreciated.

I have a cousin in New Zealand who is trying to trace the wife and daughter of his grandmother's half brother.
The half brother was called Andrew Murray Reid born 14 Dec 1874 in Meigle, Perthshire. I don't have exact details for his parents apart from the fact that his mother was Helen Robertson and his father may have been David Hardie. His half sister was Janet Robertson Reid and her father was David Reid.
Andrew was a mechanic. He married Isabella Dryden Niven on 27th Oct 1899 in Monifieth. She was born in 1878 in Dundee. Her parents were William Niven and Helen McDonald
Andrew and  Bella had a daughter Helen MacDonald Reid on the 8th March 1900 in Dundee.
Tragically, Andrew died of head injuries on 7th July 1900 in Dundee Royal Infirmary after falling from a platform at Ward Foundry, Dundee where he was a foundry mechanic.
His wife and daughter appear on the 1901 census living with her parents and her brother James at Balunie in the parish of St Andrew in Angus. Bella is listed as a dressmaker.
My cousin would really like to know what happened to Bella and her daughter Helen after that. Bella was only 22 when she was widowed, so the chances are she may have married again. I had a look at the 1911 census with no success.
Any help would be much appreciated!
I have posted a photo of Helen Macdonald Reid

Hello Ken. I remember you saying you would try and find out about my great uncle and the Imperial Yeomanry. I wondered if you had any luck?
