Thank you Cliff.  This looks great!  I needed a better photo to put on findagrave and familysearch of this family member.  Many many thanks!

Cheery Hello!

Many thanks for helping me figure out what his trade was.  Ralph G. Doremus listed on line 12.

Hello All!

I am so happy and thrilled to see these wonderful photos you have restored.  Every time I look at them I am fighting back tears of joy.  My mother's brother was supposed to be the "keeper" of all of the family treasures. Most of the family relics were supposed to go to a historical society, but the woman who was put in charge of his estate said the valuable relics disppeared.  If you Google "The Flight of the Rooster by Firth Haring Fabend", you can read the pdf of what happened.  All of the family treasures were lost when he died since he never married.

This is why I was delighted when a 3rd cousin said I could have her box of photos that had been handed down. And because of all of you, these photos are alive and vibrant once again.

Many thanks with sincere gratitude.

The little girl and boy are in front of the house that our relatives lived at.

This box of photos that was given to me is quite a treasure!  My mother did not really have any photos of the family.  And it has been GREAT fun finding these!

Thanks ever so much!  YOU are all doing a wonderful job.

I am interested in posting the little boy and girl and tried to get them to look good.  They were so dark.  I had worked on the little girl with the black frame and thought I did an ok job with her.  The little guy and his sister turned out all blotchy when I tried to lighten and darken.

Thanks all!

Cheery Hello!

As I am making my way through the box of old family photos, I happened upon this photo of this brother and sister.  I tried to lighten it but I had little luck.  I would love your help with this cute little photo.

Thanks ever so much!

Also - Please take a look at the photo of the little girl which is photo 3 in this message. I have inserted this jpeg photo into a word document adding the writing from the back of the photo and framing it with a black border.  When I do a snip-it of the photo from the word document saving it as a jpeg,  the resolution is  49 kb. This size is too small to reproduce as a 8 x 10 photo and too small to add to an online family book that I might to produce to give to my extended family.  Any ideas on how I can get this look without losing the resolution?  Thanks for your help. Your expertise is truly appreciated!
