Family History Beginners Board / peter godeffroy 1857
« on: Monday 05 July 10 09:03 BST (UK)  »
im trying to research my mums side of the family tree.

Eduard Ernst Winkler and Henriette Winkler/Bachmann supposedly were on the 'Peter Godeffroy'. It departed Hamburg 11 May 1857, however Eduard's passport supposedly was dated 11 May 1855. Eduard and Henriette's first child was born 4 April 1856.

Eduard and Henriette were not on the passenger list i could find for the 'Peter Godeffroy' in 1857.

Did the 'Peter Godeffroy' come to Australia a few times? or was there another ship departing for Australia from Germany in 1855?

Any help would be greatly appreciated  :)
