Would this be a record of his estate and monies after death ? Similar to a will or probate record in the UK ?

Thank you so much for the quick reply. I have already emailed dad.gov.za.
I have no experience of South African records but can I assume that 1967 is the death date ?
Would there be more to discover form the record below ?

South Africa / CECIL FOSTER ELVIN
« on: Thursday 28 July 11 22:39 BST (UK)  »
Is there any way I can find out about CECIL FOSTER ELVIN who I believe was born abt 1907 in South Africa ?
I have a UK incoming passenger list with him and a Mrs S Elvin, possibly his mother.
Ancestry24 shows a Transvaal Estates Deceased Index for him, but it's a lot of money to pay for just one record.
Can anybody advise me please ?
many thanks
Judy

My father  JOHN LEUCHARS HOLMES was born in Clepington Road.
The middle name has always been a mystery, but a recent suggestion that it may be from a godparent has me wondering.
Can you tell me where the nearest or most likely RC church would be for a baptism in 1909 ?
I've tried SP with no success.
Many thanks

Yorkshire (West Riding) / Friend as a name

Friend is an unusual first name Can anyone tell me anything about it please ?
There do seem to be others in Yorkshire but I have found them in others parts too.
Is it in any way connected to Quakers ?
Or was there a famous person that this child might have been named after ?
He was born 1913 Barnsley.
Thankyou
