Thanks Kay99
Thanks for the map. If that is Parrs House, Parrs Salt Meadows must be around that area.

Hi, Garstonite
Thanks for the information, you certainly have the right William Wright. I believe some of the parcels of land may be down near West Bank as some of his descendants had property down there - Croft House Farm being one of them.

Cheshire / Parrs Salt Meadow Widnes

Hi,
I'm trying to locate properties in the late 1700's in Widnes (Lancashire before the change to Cheshire) called Parrs Salt Meadow, Two Coal Brows and Widnes Moor which had been with a William Wright b1729. According to his will he left the parcels of land to his sons. Does anyone know of old ordnance maps etc that may show where they had been located. I believe Widnes Moor is where Moors Lane is today, however that is just speculation.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks Ambly,
I will dig a bit further around the 1950 date and look into the death aspect of it to see if has any significance.
Thank you so much for your reply.

United States of America / SSN confusion
« on: Sunday 23 February 20 03:50 GMT (UK)  »
Hi,
Researching my wife's 2x Gt Grandfather Richard Fisher (born in Chorley UK 4 Jun 1875) and have come across his SSN applications and claims index entry in Ancestry when he lived in America. The first part of the entry is correct which has his name Richard Fisher and DOB, claim date of 5 Sep 1950, SSN: 133144091. However, he moved back to the UK on the 18 Nov 1957 and the last entry for his application and claim has a note saying 01 Oct 1976:Name is listed as RICHARD FISHER. Why would it have a note for 1976 restating his name in capitals when he was no longer in country? He died in 1963 Warrington UK.
