Thanks for replying so quickly. I couldn’t find him by name or by using The Great North of Scotland Granite Co. Now I need to get myself a subscription to see the articles. Thank you again Shaun

Aberdeenshire / Quarry Death/ Blackhills quarry in Cruden
« on: Sunday 24 July 22 10:09 BST (UK)  »
Hi I am trying to find information regarding a death at The Great North of Scotland Granite Company’s  Quarry Blackhills near Cove/Cruden 5th June 1905 which was also called Blackhills and now Leith’s Quarry. A relative Alexander Masson Cow/e was hit by falling rocks and knocked to the bottom of the quarry and killed; I can’t find a related newspaper article and don’t know of a register for accidents in Aberdeenshire quarries. Any help is appreciated.

Maggie or Margaret’s mother’s maiden name CaroleW was Smyth/Smith as listed below the post.

I have checked both marriages, thanks for the suggestion ColC

Hi I am still looking for a great aunt named Maggie/ Margaret Coyle born in 1911 in Clydebank Old Kilpatrick parish. Her parents were James and Annie Coyle from Donegal; her family apart from two sisters all remained in Clydebank. Her oldest sister Mary (Anne) born in Muff Donegal emigrated to Canada and married Alfred Rutherford. Her sister Sarah married James Spencer after moving down to Epsom Surrey. We think maybe she may have emigrated.

Hi JDB307, Can I ask for your help? Was Agnes Gibson's husband Robert Rutherford Esther Faa Blythe's son as mentioned by others and how would I confirm that? I can't find a marriage certificate (possibly didn't marry) so can't tell who her parents were other than guessing and the same for Robert. Thanks for your time.

Thank you for your prompt reply. I Have tried to find Robert on several census but Agnes and children are listed but no Robert; so as you say if they were Hawkers he’d probably be off somewhere.
