Dear J.J.

Thanks for the tips - yes - l have had problems with names in the past and and...2nd and 3rd wives or husbands have also proved to be a stumbling block at times.

I have learnt to be careful with dates of birth and places of birth too.

I found a photo of Jessie and Hugh’s headstone in Riverton cemetery while poking around online.

Thanks again for the info.

Regards

Jamison

Hello J.J
Thank you very much in posting the information on the family concerned.
It’s so nice to have more info. on the Cameron family after knowing very little about them for so long.
It’s nice to know that Donald/Duncan Cameron (son of Jessie) had family that remained in NS.
Life might have not been to kind to them with all having to bunk in with each other over time.
I lack the knowledge and understanding of how to research North American records.
But you have helped me to take more notice of how and where to look.
Again thank you for the info. and l will put it to good use.
Kindest regards
Jamison

Hello Deb
It worked and thanks for attaching it - just a bit confused with the date of J Ch. Cameron’s death !
I’m not a direct descendant of Donald/Danial Cameron and there are no direct descendants.
He was married to my direct ancestor Jane Davis/Jones/Cameron they did have 2 children but died very young as there are no records of them found - still looking for them.
He was married to Jane for nearly 30 years and was a very well-respected step-father to her children from previous marriages.
Are there many descendants of his sister Jennie ? Where do they live ?
We should construct a timeline of Donald/Danial to put all info. together.

Hello Deb,

A year later or years later on this site things still turn up.

We are looking at the same person for sure - Danial/Donald lived in all the places you have mentioned did all the jobs etc..you mentioned in previous postings.

My Donald Chisholm Cameron died 22 Sept. 1896 Mangalore.

How did you get on with the descendants of his sister...?

Cheers
