Hi,

I have always struggled with researching Irish ancestors and was hoping some people could help me find information on Edward's parents/grandparents.

Here is the information I have.

Edward Burke Born 27 Aug 1808 in Loughrea, Galway (possible father's name is John)

He immigrated to England some time before 1847.

He married Margaret Mary Madden (b1826 d1911) in St George Southwark, London, England (her father is also from Galway, Thomas Madden b about 1798)

In the 1851 English census he was living in Islington, Middlesex as a trade warder.

They had 4 children all born in Middlesex-
William Henry Burke 1848-1889
Louisa Agnes Burke 1849-1871
Joseph Edward Burke 1856-?
Lucy Jane Burke 1857-?

They all lived in Clerkenwell, Middlesex in the 1861 England census

they immigrated to Australia and arrived in Melbourne on 30 Jan 1862

He died on 22 Sep 1885 in Fitzroy, Victoria, Australia.

Died- Jun 1846 in Foxley Wiltshire.
They had at least 6 children baptised in Foxley-

Priscilla Vizor Scutts (1810-)
Isaac Scutts (1811-)
Joseph Scutts (1814-)
Joseph Scutts (1816-)
Arthur Scutts (1816-)

Aaron Vizor to Joseph Vizor and Mary
Born - 1777 in Foxley
Married - 13 Feb 1811 (or 1812) in Foxley to Mary Biddle
Died - Unknown
They had at least 4 Children
Joseph Vizor (1812-) Wiltshire
Esther Vizor (1814-1887) b Foxley, d Malmesbury
Mary Vizor (1817-) Wiltshire
Arthur Vizor (1820-) Easton Grey, Wiltshire

I hope this request is okay to ask here and thanks for any help.

I have been going by the BDM record #21161, the record #18320 is close in location and year but the fathers name doesnt match.

The marriage is #6706 in 1904

Are you able to see who the mother of Susanna Poulson is?
there are 2 marriages in the same area and a similar time
