Is there anyone who could please check for a headstone for me? It is for Thomas Russell (1820 - 1899) and he is in Section I, Lair 260. I would really appreciate any help. Thanks.

I wish I knew! The only piece of information I have is from the Scotland census. They state that he was born in Ireland and on the 1851 census it said Londonderry, Ireland. On his marriage registration his name is listed as Patrick and on his death registration his father is listed as Henry McGehan but no mother's name. I wonder if our families are related? The name is not very common, although I have found it spelled many different ways. I have also come to a roadblock in my research of his grandson (also named Peter) who was born in 1850. I can only find him until the 1881 census and then he seems to drop off the planet??? His children were raised by someone else. Which McGehan's are you researching?

Bruce,

Thanks for checking for me. I think that I will check with Burial Services as Tim suggested. It might be my only hope of finding out where they are.

Thanks again,
Melinda

Tim,

Thanks so much for looking for me. I suppose there is no headstone then which is a shame. You would think with Robert being a mason she would have had one. I will check and see if there is any other information. Thanks so much again! I really appreciate you taking the time.

Tim,

Yes that is the right Robert Graham! Janet (Wilson) Graham died 01 Apr 1855 and her death registration does say she was buried in Rattray Churchyard. Maybe Robert is with her then?? I shouldn't have mentioned George Russell; I didn't realize how far it was from you. Next time I will look at a map first  :). Thank you so much for taking the time and letting me know where to look next. You have been so kind and I will check it out for sure!

Thanks again,
Melinda

Tim,

Thank you so much for looking for me. I really appreciate it. It's too bad there wasn't a stone. I was hoping there would be some information on it that could further my research. Other than Robert Graham and his wife Janet Wilson the only other name I am researching in that area would be George Russell who died 21 May 1923. His usual address was 32 Glasgow Road, Perth so I have no idea where he would have been buried. It doesn't say on his death registration. Thanks again for your kindness and looking for Robert for me.

I was wondering if anyone had MI's for Blairgowrie. I am looking for Robert Graham who died 04 Jun 1861. He was married to Janet Wilson but I believe she was buried in Rattray. Any help would be appreciated  :)

Alex,

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! You have been so kind to take these pictures for me. I really appreciate it. I didn't know about Walter as he was born and died between the census. Everyone I have come in contact with on this site has been so kind and helpful. It means a lot to those of us that are so far away from what we are researching.

Thanks  :)
