Thomas Rolf was baptised in Shalbourne on 2nd Sept 1796, son of John & Emey Rolfe. He is my husband's gg grandfather.

I agree with Erato. My tree on Ancestry does not include sources but I have them all in my personal records and would be happy to share the sources with anyone who contacts me.

Very little ham , or any cooked meats , in our local Asda store yesterday, and what was available had really short use by dates.

Another possibility. My grandmother was baptised by her parents, then taking into Eastville Workhouse aged 2. Later she was fostered and baptised again by the foster parents.

Bristol Records office do have some records for the workhouse. Email them to check what they have. I have seen some for 1902.

Hi Jet, welcome to Rootschat.  Mark Rolfe married Amelia Smart and they had 5 children, Annie Maria, William Henry, Louisa, Matilda  and Sarah Jane. The family moved from Shalbourne to Bristol.
