Evening Rob,

Oh if you manage to find out any info on John Hall I’d be extremely grateful, thank you x

Fabulous Rob,

Margaret Ann Hall is my great great grandmother. She died young and John left her alone in Scotland to raise their children alone. It’s a very sad story and I’ve yet to find out what became of him. He left the family and never returned. Some things excite you and warm your heart when researching and other things you find out have you in floods of tears. This poor family like many others during this time went through so much.

I have a copy of Thomas and Eleanor’s marriage certificate if you’d like one, welcome to the family x

Hi all, hope you are all well.

I am wondering if anyone can help me pls I am trying to find (*) Fitzpatrick poss born around 1944/45 in Glasgow,. I am helping a dear old lady try and find him and this is what she remembers so far. He served in the Merchant Navy at Port Pirie in Glasgow????, he had 3 brothers, one was a chef, father was (*) so she thinks, Possil Road has been mentioned to.

His mother was called (*) but left when this son was about 3 years old. There may be a link to Sydney, Australia, there was a mention of a place called Barlinnie but from what I can see this is a prison!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so not to sure on this one, as just reading scribbles from notes on a paper.

(*) Names of people who may still be living have been edited in order to protect people's privacy, as part of RootsChat's guidelines. Thank you.

So sorry forgot xx

Hello all,

Can anyone please help me find chidren of John and Margaret McKinnon. Margaret Ann Hall Morin married John Howieson McKinnon, she died in 1995 aged 66 on SP I have to order the death cert in the hope of seeing if one of her children registered the death and to be honest I really do not have any spare pennies at the mo until after Christmas.

Margaret Ann Hall Morin b 1928 daughter of Thomas Morin and Mary Ellen Hall (my great grandaunt)

Unless there is another way of viewing this death cert as I have family in Glasgow who would go and have a look for me, do you know if this is possible ??

Please if anyone has any ideas I would to hear them, many thanks Angeline xx
