Thanks to all for replies, much appreciated. I downloaded the wills and did much deciphering and cross checking ,but did,t find any reference or clues to John Richard Champion.   I have his marriage to Mary Webb  in 1819 and his death 24 Jan 1875 ,but cannot find birth or parents names, just a birth date from age given in a number of census,s. so maybe it was,nt  registered .

Sorry about misleading names. I am actually trying to ascertain whether Joshua Champion is the father of John Richard Champion.  I have quite a lot of info. for John Richard, who was born about 1796, but there is one born about 10 years earlier with Joshua listed as father and since John named a son Joshua , I feel that maybe John,s birth date is wrong,or maybe put his age down for some reason.

Thankyou for your reply ab

Thanks everyone.  Every new thought or interpretation helps so much'

Does anyone know whether the names on the particular stones would have been copied from the actual gravestones, or from cemetry records ?

First one buried there was Rebecca in 1866. I have found her maiden name was  Smith

Hi Thanks for your reply.    Alexander,s death  8/4/1873  Rebecca,s was 2/12/1866

So far I have found very little else about them, but I am curious as to why they are buried in the Bain plot when I had never came accross them in my research.   Only thing I could think of was Alexander  maybe William Bain,s father, but being born illigitimate went by his mothers name.

Buried in same grave is William Donald Bain  12/12/1884...    Jessie Reid Bain 4/7/1890...Donald Reid Bain 25/3/1894....Maggie Jessie Bain  2/4/1894....William Bain 29/1/1938

Stone Number A925   then Stone A 926 is William,s son Alexander Bain who was actually killed in WW1   on 8/8/1918 and buried in France, so they must just ave put his name there.

Thankyou so much for taking the time  Regards ab
