Thank you!  Figuring out that list was a big help to me.  All my "Wolfgang" ancestors were in America by 1946 and deceased by 1905 so I never researched any WWI information.  Thanks for the help.

He married her in 1839, not 1939.  Sorry again, I guess I need to proof read.

I'm sorry I screwed that up.  His son, Wolfgang SR, married Catherine Preusser of Grafenkirchen, Bavaria, Germany in about 1939.  Both Wolfgang and Wolfgang SR are of Munich.  My apologies.

As far as I know, always.  I have old paperwork that belonged to my grandmother, and it states that Wolfgang Auman was born in 1780 in Munchen and died in 1824 in Munchen.  He is sometimes listed in my families documents as Wolfgang Auman of Grafenkirchen.  I am also told that through him I am related to one of Napoleons mercenaries.  My father tells me that he knows of it being spelled Aumann, with 2 "n"'s and I found a book titles "Königlich-Baierisches Regierungsblatt" and I found what appears to be a Wolfgang Aumann of Grafenkirchen.  Attached is a photo of this page.  I know the title means something about the royal government of Baiers journal, but I can't figure out what the column headings state in order to know what this is actually a record of.

Wolfgang Auman is my 4th great grandfather (I've seen it spelled Wolfken Aumen, Amman, Aumann, etc...).  I know he was born in 1780 in Munich, Bavaria according to my grandmother from years ago.  He had two boys, Wolfgang SR (1814-1905 and married Catherine Preusser) and Mathias (1804-??).  I have found some Aumans from early 1700's but I have no way of connecting them.  I dont know the oldest Wolfgangs wifes name either.  Any information to help me trace my ancestors beyond him would be great.
