Robert:
I see that you have an interest in the Giles family from the Warminster area.

My GGGF John Stevens b. 1800 Hindon married Mary Giles 1825 in East Knoyle.

I have found two prospective Mary Giles 1).Mary d/o William and Eleanor Turner bapt Warminster 1799 2). Mary d/o John and Mary Dodimead bapt 1803 Warminster.

Both John and William were probably brothers, s/o of Benjamin & Rebeka Giles.

My problem is which of the Mary's married John Stevens?

It seems Mary Giles Stevens died Heytesbury/Warminster between 1831 and 1841 (last child Mary bapt 1831 John had new wife in 1841)

I think my best bet would be a age at time of burial - but can't find a burial.

Any ideas?
Tks
Simon

Hope this helps:

Richard Cossum c1725-1793 b. Northhaim d. Hastings, bur. Bodiam, Sussex
Elizabeth (Tress?)  Cossum 1733-1807 b.? d. Hastings? bur. Bodiam. Will probated April 1807
Married: Bodiam 1751
Children: Elizabeth 1754, John 1756-1829, Richard 1758-, Ann 1760-64, Francis 1763- c1805 (pre-deceased mother ref her will - DOD unknown - died Maidenhead Berks, wife Sarah Devas - my 4xGF), All christened Northaim. Last girls Sarah 1771-, Mary 1772- both christened Hastings.

Still looking for POB for Richard and Elizabeth.
Richard was executor to his uncle John Cossum of Hastings, will 1773

Suspect family originally from Kent - have evidence of link from Hastings to Ann Cossum m. John Colegate Tonbridge 1744. Other Cossum's in Ashurst, Kent area early 1700.

Richard and John Cossum all associated with drapery business. Francis also same in Maidenhead and his son Charles 1800-1843 also in London.

Cheers
