thank you , ive been looking for a birth of a george clarke ( who was in the 59th ) but said he was born in bristol and came from wotton under edge( his army paper info) -- ive looked down all avenues and cant find his birth -- maybe his father was in the 59th as well and george was born in 1834 instead ,

hi carole -yes there were walter and john henry then agnes jesse and annie , but we had never heard of john henry so he was a bit of a surprise -I found a marriage for john henry and Margaret sheard ,but then I found banns for a john henry and MARY sheard , same dates ,so I think it was a misprint , I believe evelyn was john henry and Margaret sheards daughter , as you say I will have to get the birth cert to be sure -there were 2 other children born to john henry and Margaret sheard  I believe both  died ,james henry goode and Clifford goode

all I know is that my nanna had a photograph of a man and lady and he was in DLI uniform, my nannas family lived in Huddersfield ,also a later family member I have found in the DLI but that was WW11 --- because my nan had this photo in with other photos of her brothers and sisters ,im presuming it was a close family member to her or her husband , surnames could be GOODE -HOUSEMAN --KNIGHT - OR CLARKE -- THESE ARE THE CLOSE NAMES TO THE FAMILY,  IT WOULD BE WW1 I THINK
