Warwickshire / Date of a death

A second cousin is lookiing for the death of his father Joseph Charles Lawrence.  He tried to send for death certificate but the records office want the date of death.  The only info that I have found is that J C Lawrence died in January 1987 in Rugby Warwickshire.  Is it possible for someone to look up the actual date.  Thanks very much.  AnnK

Hello thank you for the suggestions for Matthew Thompson.   I have been looking at the census for John William Thompson and there seems to be a conflict of ages and birth places. In 1851 birth 1813 in Madely Shropshire, 1861  birth 1821 Staffordshire, 1871 birth 1818 Bilston Stafford.  his wife Elizabeth Holbrow died in Armley as a widow 1872.  The witnesses on the marriage cert are William Holbrow, Helen Niblet and a William Pye.  Matthew was a miner.ks  I'll do some more research.  Thanks Annk

Thank you for the info on The Malton to Driffield. I had thought that was the line he was working on.  This particular ancestor has been quite difficult to research as in the censuses his date of birth is different, his name is either down as John or william and the place he was born is also different!  Well with a name like Thompson then that too has made research difficult.  Thanks again

Hello

I am intrigued too as my ancestors were born in Wharram Percy.  I received a message today stating that the subject had been taken off by Berlin-Bob!!!
