« on: Sunday 30 July 23 15:37 BST (UK)  »
Good afternoon!

I'm just wondering if someone could help with the look up for a burial record for Susannah Courtman, who died JFM 1936, aged 86 yrs, and also her husband James Courtman who died 10 Jan 1923, aged 76 yrs.

Thank you :)

Just found her burial at Great Ryburgh, 11 Jan 1895, aged 76. Her and Isaac must've seperated.

Thank you so much for your help :)

I've just found her in 1881 & 1891 living in Great Ryburgh. She was the witness to the case against her daughter Emily for concealing the birth of her baby girl  :(

Good afternoon!

Just wanted to say that thankfully I managed to find out exactly who he was. His name was Charles Hardy Dunnell, born 3 July 1906, and he passed away 21 January 1956, making him only 49 years old. Definitely younger than I first thought or have been told.

Thank you all for your help.

Norfolk / Susannah Farrow nee Scott

Good afternoon,

I'm really struggling with my ancestor, Susannah Farrow nee Scott. She was born in Harpley around 1818 and married Isaac Farrow (Farrer on FreeBMD) in 1847, and lived with their children in Harpley, but after 1871 I can't find her anymore.

I can't find her or her husband Isaac in 1881, but in 1891 Isaac is living as a lodger with family in Flitcham where he was born. It states that he is married still. He died in 1892 and was buried in Flitcham.

I don't know if I'm missing something but I've exhausted all avenues I can think of.

Thank you!

Kirsty ::)

I'm with Gadget, that was my initial thought before I saw any replies.

Thank you  :) My mum always told me she believed he was a fair bit older than Ivy but wasn’t sure by how much.

Thank you both loord74 and Gadget for your replies. I’ve a list of Charles’ who died within the years in the right area, so I will look through them  :)

If you know where the farm was located have you tried searching local newspapers online (Find My Past, for example, have many British papers) to see if you can find a mention of his death?

Hi aghadowey

I tried looking through the Eastern Daily Press when they were available online for that time but had no luck. I’m yet to look at the Eastern Evening News but I haven’t found them available online covering those years. I’m thinking about tediously going into Norwich and searching them all in person.  ::)

Good afternoon!

This is a picture of my great grandmother Ivy, and her partner Charlie, at my nans wedding on 30 July 1955 at Taverham, Norfolk. The question I’m asking is how old would you say Charlie is in the photograph? My great Nan was 52 years old at the time.

I’m trying to find out exactly who he is. Unfortunately I don’t know his surname, or another other details about him, apart from he was called “Charlie”.

I know he died between 1955-1958. This is the last family photograph he is in. I know he had passed away by 1958 as he was found dead in his pig stys, and I know the person whose family moved into his farm after he died, and she was born there in 1958.

I hope this all makes sense.

Canada / George Ross Poste
« on: Friday 07 October 22 19:27 BST (UK)  »
Good evening,

I’m trying to find some more information on the death of George Ross Poste on 19 January 1929. He died in a train accident on the CNR in Ontario.

Thanks in advance
